After a long time-out I finally added something new to my “Color Challenge”: a brooch in painted brass that is inspired by the fantastic book “Unterleuten” by German author Juli Zeh. Several parts of the brooch refer to key elements in the novel: a wing of a wind turbine, grass, black rubber… and feathers of the ruff in a “green” setting on the back side.
I love experimenting with materials and shapes, and I’m always looking for new means of expression. Therefore, I often have to look for alternative ways of connecting these materials, mostly cold connections that don’t require soldering. Just take a sneak peek at the “Color Challenge 2022” section!
